We talk about it like something to \u201cget rid of.\u201d But stress is part of life &#8211; and not always harmful. In fact, the right kind of stress can push you to grow.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"1026\">The key is knowing which type of stress you\u2019re dealing with. Because the tension that helps you prepare for a big presentation isn\u2019t the same as the stress that keeps you awake every night.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1056\">1. Chronic Stress<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1530\">Chronic stress is different. It\u2019s the pressure that doesn\u2019t let up &#8211; money worries, a toxic workplace or long-term caring responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1689\">Over time, chronic stress can affect your immune system, heart health and mood. It\u2019s one of the biggest risk factors for burnout, anxiety and depression.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1691\" data-end=\"1834\">\ud83d\udca1 <em data-start=\"1694\" data-end=\"1832\">Check yourself: Do you feel \u201con edge\u201d almost every day, even when nothing specific has gone wrong?
