So it is advisable to<\/strong> choose a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">web-based therapy service that offers counsellors and psychotherapists with real experience<\/span> working with your issues.<\/p>\n<h3>Do web-based therapists have any additional training?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>At present there is no certified training to help therapists come across well over the internet<\/strong>, and it&#8217;s just something they have to figure out themselves. So when you are in town you can attend sessions, and when you are travelling you can use the internet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The second important thing to keep in mind is that web-based therapy, like any therapy, <\/strong>is a relationship between you and your therapist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It might take time to find the right fit<\/strong> where you feel you can<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/counselling\/i-dont-trust-my-therapist.htm\"> trust your therapist<\/a><\/span>. Don&#8217;t give up or think therapy doesn&#8217;t work, just because after a few sessions you are not feeling comfortable and need to try another therapist.<\/p>\n<h3>But does web-based therapy actually <em>work? <\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Absolutely. In fact web-based programs integrating CBT, actually called CCBT (computerised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/cognitive-behavioural-therapy-london.htm\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">cognitive behavioural therapy<\/span><\/a>) are now recommended as an intervention by the very stringent body that governs medical recommendations in the UK, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nice.org.uk\/guidance\/ta51\">National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And studies have found that in some cases, such as those involving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/counselling\/cognitive-behavioural-therapy-cbt-phobias.htm\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">phobias<\/span><\/a> and anxiety, web-based therapy can be more affective than in-person therapy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Of course, like any sort of talk therapy, it works only as well as you are willing to commit to it and put in the effort. <\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Is web-based therapy the way of the future?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>I<\/strong>t might just be. Again, it has been proven to be just as effective as regular therapy, and for some mental health conditions it was even found to produce better results.<\/p>\n<p>That said, there is something very powerful about experiencing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harleytherapy.co.uk\/counselling\/what-is-the-therapeutic-alliance.htm\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">client therapist relationship<\/span><\/a> in person, so it&#8217;s doubtful that in-person talk therapy will ever not exist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Would you like to try a session of online therapy?
