Agata Pisula is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with an extensive clinical experience of both private practice and working as a senior clinician in the NHS. She has helped individuals from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, loss, low self-esteem, trauma, feelings of emptiness, lack of fulfilment in life, and work and relationship issues. She also offers supervision and mentoring to junior colleagues.
Each person looking for psychological help has different needs and concerns. Agata’s warm, non–judgmental attitude helps you clarify areas of difficulty and generate a focus for treatment. She’s skilled at creating a secure and confidential space where you can discuss whatever may be troubling you. Her psychodynamic approach encourages curiosity and will allow you to explore the ways in which past experience can lead to difficulties in the way we live, work and relate in the present. Her way of working will help you to feel heard as well as focus on developing a better understanding of your experiences, allowing you to find more purpose and meaning in life.
Agata is also qualified in Mentalization-Based Therapy, which is an evidence-based treatment particularly useful for people suffering long-term difficulties in relationships who experience intense emotional distress and overwhelming feelings.
Agata is available to work with adults on both a short- and long-term basis; the frequency of sessions is agreed with each client according to their needs and personal circumstances, as well as her understanding of best clinical practice.
Agata qualified as a Jungian Analyst and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Society of Analytical Psychology and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and International Association for Analytical Psychology and works to their ethical and professional codes of practice.Back
