“After contemplating therapy for many years, due to certain life events and the want for over all self-improvement, I finally took the steps to meet with an expert. My only wish is that I did it sooner!! I contacted Harley Therapy, summarising areas and behaviours I would like to work on and what I wanted to achieve from these session. They introduced me with Dr Michelle Hamill and we clicked instantly. Prior to registering my main worry was whether the therapist and I would connect, but as soon as we had our first session, I instantly relaxed and knew I had done the right thing and each week’s appointment became something I would look forward to, especially as I started to see myself applying techniques into real life situations. It took no time for Michelle to get to know which techniques would suit me and my personality, using analogies and visuals in particular to apply certain techniques during times where I would find myself off balance or faced with challenges. 3 months after completing the sessions (which was bitter sweet as didn’t want it to end, but knew I was ready), I feel so much better in all aspects of life, by being able to control myself and assess my emotions in day to day situations and over all improvement, with family and friends noticing this change too. I will always be an advocate of therapy now and certainly check in if and when I feel I need too. Seeing your thoughts and views and speaking out loud, with a professional just makes you see so many refreshing/different angles that you would never of thought of before.
