PsychD, HPC reg

Dr Ashley Mullins is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). She works primarily from a relational psychoanalytic perspective and incorporates mindfulness and mentalisation-based interventions. She works with individuals and couples across the lifespan struggling with loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and identity issues, work/career difficulties, infertility, exploration of gender and sexuality, immigration, and life transitions.

Ashley holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has more than 15 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families in a variety of clinical settings in the United Kingdom and abroad. Her international experience enables her to connect deeply with clients across cultural and ethnic backgrounds, particularly those experiencing conflict related to international relocation, cultural isolation and conflict, and complex life decisions.

She has conducted both short-term and long-term therapy and approaches each individual and couple with an empathic appreciation for their unique needs. Her approach is warm, engaged, and direct with a focus on utilising the therapist-client relationship to advance the therapy. Ashley believes progress is dependent on a collaborative dynamic between therapist and client, and she will endeavour to maintain an open and honest dialogue with you. Her primary goal in therapy is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment and facilitate a process in which you have space to observe and explore your mind in a way that allows you to play with new ideas of thinking, feeling, and being.
