Dr Magdalena Goryczko is a psychologist with over 11 years’ of clinical experience. She works mainly within psychodynamic and attachment-based psychotherapy approaches, but is also trained in cognitive-behavioural (CBT), humanistic and existential therapy.
She provides time-limited, short-term therapy, as well as medium to long-term therapy treating adult patients with a range of psychological difficulties. In her clinical work she focuses on the disruptions in emotional development which lead to disorders of the self, contributing to depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, addictions, sexual dysfunctions, somatic problems, and personality disorders.
Magdalena has worked in Australia, South East Asia and Europe within a variety of settings including public health and forensic, higher education and private sector. She is currently working in the NHS secondary care setting, with a focus on mental health in older adults.
Magdalena is a chartered counselling psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). She is also maintaining her registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).Back
